  • Bugs Galore

I have trouble connecting to music constantly. Even through the app. They need to fix the bugs in the app because 80% of the time it’s not working right.
  • Limited Support for Nest Cams on Home App

Being forced to migrate to the google home app for the newer gen nest cameras is disappointing. There are far less options for the cameras within the home app. In the nest app, you’re able to scroll through the camera feed second by second and save whatever footage you need but in the home app you’re only able to click live view or the notifications to view. Some things aren’t caught on the camera notifications so I like being able to go back to see what was missed. I refuse to buy any new cameras because they’re not supported on the nest app. Since everything is in a limbo phase I’ll happily use nest app but once they get rid of the nest app altogether and force us all into the google home app I’ll probably cancel my nest subscription and get different cameras. The nest subscription goes up every year but if there’s less functionality/support within the google home app for the cameras what exactly am I paying for?

Why google home not link to Arlo app.
  • Wi-Fi devices list must never have been tested

It’s impossible to read the Wi-Fi devices list as it refreshes and reorders every 5 seconds, no matter what it is sorted by. What an absolutely awful UX and how does Google not test this experience.

I miss the + / - 15 seconds buttons from the Nest app. I also wish that you could turn on/off camera notifications in bulk via an automation etc like you can on Wyze.
  • Inconsistent and lags

Moved Nest camera’s over to Google Home app. Probably going to move back, the app lags and user interface is not straight forward compared to watching videos on Nest app. Frequent app crashes and very slow video load time for recordings and attempting to pull up live video.
  • Terrible app

Why’s this app have such a hard time loading videos and live video feed from google nest outdoor cameras? Are you slowing speeds on apple devices because whenever it happens all my other apps load just fine.
  • Terrible user interface and performance

Had issues with one of my nest, did a mesh connection. And the connections said “mesh completed, connection working fine” yet…one of the nest is reading offline and giving me options to trouble shoot using googles “troubleshooting guide forum”. So is it working fine or do I need to troubleshoot it. App doesn’t help.
  • Google home is full of useless features and does not do the one important thing

The Home app has long lists of features that are only designed for manipulating engagement. In other words that serve google. It only does one useful thing: you can check the status of the google nest routers—which work very well and dint need monitoring. I have one crucial need of this app. To pause and set schedules for family devices. specifically for my teen boy. I used to be able to do that to some degree. But now i cave searched every link on the app without finding this one feature I need. One possibility is to replace the nest system with another brand that has a usable app that does this one simple thing that routers are supposed to do. The reason I'm writing here is because the app also has no tech support or feedback link that works. I’m just hoping google reads this and gets back to me.
  • Needs a lot of improvements

Lack luster interface, unstable, full of malfunctions, doesn’t interface well with speakers, or group of speakers, seems to be made for small homes and not very scalable
