I mean all I can say is that yep, it works. It’s really easy to find and log food and just doing that makes me eat less. The only thing is that it gives you tips about each food you log which can sometims be misleading. I get evil orange tips from eating fat but the app rewards me for eating enough fat? Sometimes I’m like “omg I did so good this has 50 grams of protein” and then the app is like “oh I’m sorry 30 grams is too much fat.” EMOTIONAL DAMAGE

For as much as I’m paying for this it freezes several times a day when logging food and requires a kill/relaumch. Haven’t lost data yet. Just very annoying.
  • Begging for money

I’m just trying to use this app and check it out. In the five minutes that I had it, I was bombarded with pop-ups of “do you want to purchase the premium“ and no, I don’t. I’m just trying this app out. Any button I press, on God, that pop-up just kept coming up begging me for money. Bro, let me just try the app first please. No I don’t want to try premium for it any amount of time. If I like it, I’ll consider it. So unless you’re willing to purchase, the premium is extremely difficult to use this app. Along time ago I like this app because I was able to scan the barcode, of course, barcode isn’t for free. So if I can’t use the barcode, it’s honestly not worth having the app.

I was referred to this app by a bunch of users. Very easy to use. Makes you aware of what you put in your trap. Would recommend for anyone trying to track their diet/nutrition.
  • Recipe importer

Looking for an app that can import recipes. I didn’t realize how they all seem to struggle with being accurate. Well My Fitness Pal so far has been worse than some of the others. I’m like where do they make these numbers or ingredients? It imported a recipe and marked it as 367 servings..where did it get that number? Or it had one bbq tofu recipe with 14lb cantaloupe as an ingredient. Where did it find cantaloupe? I’m sure it’s more complicated that I know. These websites have a lot of garbage on them. But to charge premium prices of $79 a year for a product that doesn’t work even half the time, is a racket.

Used to be really good and free now it’s $20 a month for the only things that made the free version good.

What happened to being able to scan a bar code without being charged?
  • Ads are horrible now.

They run spam banner ads. I just was shown one that looked at first glance to be a flashing notification within the app. They have put formerly free functionalities like barcode scanning behind paywalls. I’m searching for alternatives to this app.
