Willa: AI Coach for Creators

Do not work with them. They don’t pay creators.

As an influencer and multi business owner, I utilized this app briefly for my business. The AI chat feature has great potential in the deal feed has possibility, but it’s limited by the pay wall that comes with it. most of the contracts in the deal feed should be free as well as the AI right now. There’s no incentive for incoming users to use the platform or new customers to utilize the platform. I’ve also seen reviews about them not paying influencers their actual money, but I have never use that feature myself.

I gave it a 2 star. I was excited at first but now I am unable to use my account because I changed my phone number and have no way to speak to a customer service agent… maybe it’s a good thing. After reading the reviews, I probably saved myself from fraud.

I got HUNDREDS of scam emails out of nowhere even after I unsubscribed. Now they request money from me with the excuse that there was some double booking. Note: I NEVER OPENED AN ACCOUNT AND NEVER USED THEIR SERVICES! Stay away from them. Look at trustpilot and the stories that people write. Im trying to reach out to them to close my account and to stop sending me emails but no reply!

This app was really use full and helped me along my journey as a content creator. But they have been updating it in the wrong ways and it is not as supportive any more.

Signing up for and using Willa turned out to be one of the WORST “too good to be true” experiences of my professional life. Willa was built on a complete lie and they’ve seemingly used people such as myself, whom they originally courted to subscribe, as tools to build their corporate brand database - which they are now selling to a new breed of aspiring creators. Once Willa got what they needed from the first group of subscribers (and I’m guessing raised capital based on that user “demand”) they dropped the facade and “pivoted” into something completely useless to the original users. I’d strongly urge anyone thinking of signing up to read through all of the reviews as well as in between the lines. If you decide to sign up for Willa, I suggest not getting too comfortable with any of the services offered as those services may not be permanent and you may not be given ample notice about changes to those services. As a seasoned content creator of +3 years, first and foremost I’d like to say that all of the positive reviews on here are fake. This is the absolute worst experience I have had with trying to handle payments for my partnerships. One of my brands has been waiting for over a MONTH for their refund on a canceled invoice through Willa. I was warned not to use them, but tried anyways and this is where it got me. DO NOT USE THIS APP!!!!

I’ve been a longtime user of Willa practically since day 1. The early cash out feature made it possible for me to do freelance work for a living as many of my clients have net60 or even net90 terms that make it impossible to pay bills on time. This was the ENTIRE purpose and selling point of Willa when I signed up. The last few months I’ve noticed tons of changes to the app - some helpful but most confusing. Today I tried to send an invoice and was told the early cash outs are no longer available for the foreseeable future. This was the reason Willa was created and now it’s just gone. I received no notification from the app prior to reaching out to customer service and I was counting on this invoice to be paid asap for my work finances. Now I have to completely change things with no notice. There’s no reason to use Willa without this feature. I’ll just continue with one of my other invoicing programs.

They advertise “instant access to your funds”, but this is the opposite of the truth. THEY MAKE YOU WAIT 5 DAYS TO ACCESS YOUR RECEIVED PAYMENTS. Why wouldn’t you just use Venmo, PayPal or even Zelle? Willa will take your money for there “paid package” and give you nothing but frustration.

I’m updating my review bc Willa has updated their entire Buisness model. They are no longer an app that will play creators today soo they don’t have to wait 30/60/90 nets, now they’re basically trying to be PayPal or Venmo. But don’t have the staff to back it up, you have to pay membership for everything now, like even to speak to customer service, you’ll need to pay $179/ year! Like what?! How are you charging me to speak to someone to fix the issues that your app has , funny like the other review I also experienced soo much drama with them harassing brands I worked with that shay paid me but for whatever reason their system tells them it’s not paid and they suddenly start harassing me and the brands I worked over 2 years ago! And when I complained they told me this never happens and from reading the reviews now I see it happens a lot. When this app launched I was a huge fan, and advocate yelling all my creators friends to use it and now if anyone asked I’m going to say don’t do it. Not worth it, they cause drama, they’re sloppy with their billing department clearly and now nothing comes free with this app, and they resell your brand contact info in the premium membership, they collected all of our contract from all of our invoices and now sell it back to anyone willing to pay the membership, so you’ll make money off me but not give me access to the premium plan? It’s one thing if we’re all sharing brand contacts with each other, but another entirely if you’re stealing it and selling it back to us. I hope someone looks into the legal ramifications of doing this because it doesn’t seems LEGAL at all! Plus when they first launched this feature I used it free for a month I must have emailed like 40 contacts, not a single one ever ever responded let alone gave me a brand deal, at the time I asked the founder if this was ok what their doing and was it right to just reach out to brands that had a partnership with some else and didn’t intend for me to have their contract, he told me their info was public and listed on companies website but when I looked it was in fact not listed. This app is to be a shiny beacon in this messed up creator space where creators are often taken advantage of and I truly use to believe Willa wanted to help, now I see it was all a trap.
