I was so excited to use this app because my husband and I can never agree on a movie. But before I could actually use it, I got a cute little pop up saying that the app costs $8/week??? $32/month??? That’s more than my 3 of my streaming services combined! Instantly uninstalled. I would be willing to pay but not anywhere near that amount.
  • Crappy

This app is crappy. Don’t waste your time. Unless you want to pay for subpar movies suggestions that you 100% have already seen before. Don’t waste your money, and don’t waste your time. Great idea tho
  • Great app but deletes progress

I love this app and it’s been so useful but every-time there’s an update it has deleted all the movies I’ve organized already. I wasn’t mad about it the first time but then it kept happening with every update, it’s not like there’s an unlimited amount of swipes too so this is extremely frustrating.
  • THEY JUST CHANGED THE APP COMPLETELY

i’m actually so upset they completely changed the app i’m so confused! all my progress is gone. all my lists are gone. now it’s swiping for liked to disliked and not watched to haven’t seen! why was nobody notified? why did they completely change the whole concept of the app??
  • Cool idea poorly created by greedy developers

As someone who has a hard time choosing films to watch the idea of this app is incredibly helpful and great. Although it may have been created by the wrong people. When you first open the app you see the original tinder like format. So I started to do it and it was cool to see a lot of movies that I could watch soon. Though after only a few swipes I was told I couldn’t do it anymore for today or I had to buy premium. When I checked the premium price it was $8 which is crazy because the streaming services they tell you to watch these movies on don’t even cost that much. Why would I pay $8 for an app to choose a movie for me when I could do it myself even when I have a hard time doing that. There are much Better places this app could add the premium features into like the ai feature not the main feature. The main feature should actually be the only one allowed. These developers and greedy and just want to take your money.

It’s FREE and it is available for all ages.
  • Great idea but it’s ruined by the greed of the developers

I DO NOT recommend this app to anyone looking for a way to find movies to watch, most of the catalog is old movies that you’ve probably already seen before and the image quality can be downright awful. Now this wouldn’t that big of a deal of this app was free with ads. I read the reviews and the developers seem to respond with how there is a free version. Yes, there is a free version, however it is insanely limited. It gives you only 50 swipes a day and it’s only of movies that are older and that you have most likely seen, also if your looking to search via genre or search with friends, it’s hidden behind a paywall which is an insane 8$ a WEEK. I understand they’re trying to earn money but $8 a week is absurd, especially for what they are offering. They could have had the same result if not better by actually putting in effort into the app and making it free with ads. Developers, DO BETTER
  • $20 a month?!

Interesting idea that would be fun, however not worth $20 a month. That’s just ridiculous.
  • Brilliant Concept; Needs Some Work

This app is brilliant, pure and simple. My only feedback is that it needs a little more tweaking. More content from platforms like Netflix Originals, Hulu Originals, Peacock, Prime, etc. And maybe a way for party members to view selections only available on certain platforms. For example, my broke college student daughter only has Netflix. So being able to play the game on Netflix exclusive content would be great. If the devs keep building out the app and making improvements I believe this app will do extremely well. My only other complaint is that the weekly price is too high. I don’t know if I will continue to use it at the current price, but I would be willing to pay something like $1 a week or $40 for a whole year.
  • Great app, but needs some work!

Movie Night - Swipe & Watch is a fun and interactive way to decide what to watch with friends or family. I love the concept of swiping through movies and finding something everyone can agree on. The interface is user-friendly, and the idea is solid, making it enjoyable for movie nights. However, the subscription pricing is a bit steep at $7.99 per week, which feels excessive considering the app only helps you choose movies, not actually stream them. It would also be great to see some added features, like the ability to select streaming services you already subscribe to, and maybe even add TV series into the mix instead of just movies. Overall, it's a good app with a lot of potential, but a more reasonable pricing and expanded content would make it even better.
