It does convert .mov files to .mp4, but it does no compression, which was kind of the point for me. Granted, it doesn't advertise any compression, but that's a feature I would want. I should have done more diligence before paying.

Bought this to convert an old .MOV video file. File loads, clicked on the "convert to MP4" button, it asks for a new file name, and then it says Operation Stopped.
