It’s your tiny text companion! ⁕ Less Is More Tot’s single window design and simple formatting controls mean no more hunting for that chunk of text. Seven color-coded dots let you organize your notes while keeping them from getting out of hand. ⁕ Dark / Light Mode Designed to look stunning both day and night, Tot takes full advantage of iOS and macOS themes. ⁕ Small Footprint Stays out of the way on the desktop with minimal chrome and can even be controlled via the Menu bar. On mobile, each dot is just a swipe away. ⁕ iCloud Sync Seamlessly syncs your text across iOS and macOS using iCloud so you can capture thoughts wherever you are. ⁕ Markdown Support Full support for rich or plain text and even automatically translates text to Markdown for handy use on the web. Have an RTF file you need marked up? No problem! ⁕ Killer Keyboard Tot puts common text operations on the keyboard and keeps track of word and character counts as you type. Available for iOS, macOS, and watchOS.

  • My Most Valuable App

I rarely write reviews, but I am here to evangelize because Tot has changed my life, no exaggeration. I started using Tot only on MacBook initially, and it worked excellently as a little text holder or spot to start drafting a thought. I think the menu bar quick access and hands-free nature makes it stick better than other apps for me. I didn’t start to really use the heck out of Tot until I realized there was an iPhone and iPad app. I think having access across all of my devices, in addition to the high quality design and function of Tot, is well worth $20. Syncing across devices is instant. New features come out occasionally, and they are well thought out, not at all overwhelming, and never cause functionality issues. I think Tot serves a different function than any other note app system — I love Tot because it is the perfect pre-note app. How many of us have dozens, if not hundreds, of individual (abandoned) notes in our preferred notes app with a single word/thought, lost in the mix and bogging down the notes app that otherwise begs for organization and structure in order to be used to its maximum capabilities? Tot bridges a gap I never realized I had in my personal note-taking system by giving me a clean placeholder for those in-between thoughts or links or passcodes or whatever, and the finite number of pages forces me to clean up and organize regularly. I wouldn’t dare ask for one more dot… As someone who can never nail down my workflow to one device or app, who benefits from the lower stakes/ease of use that comes with limited formatting options, and who always has a lot of irons in the fire, Tot is a lifesaver for me. I really appreciate the devs who made this tool!

Fantastic suite of apps. I use Tot to keep “quick reference” notes easily accessible and synced across my devices. Love it!
  • No search function!

The app encourages you to drop your “mess” into it, and it’s a thoughtful and useful app for sorting and storing, but there’s no way to search your data. I’m sorry I didn’t realize this before buying it. It’s such an elementary part of dealing with data! I doubt search will ever arrive for Tot, it’s not updated very often, and they probably would have included it from the get-go if they could. Nice app otherwise, but if you want to search your “mess,” you’ll have to export it to another app. I’m switching my data to Apple Notes.
  • I Like it, but it is too buggy

Tot dumped a whole note full of critical info as I tried to numb the notes left using a feature. It warned it would be final, but said it wouldn’t delete used note tabs. The formatting is janky and hard to manipulate Back to “Drafts”.

Beautiful UI, simple and easy to use. I immediately put it on my home screen and I use it all day long on my iPhone & Mac. Kind of pricey if you only use it on your phone, but the companion Mac app is free (I.e., $0.00!!!), and when you factor that in, the overall price is fair for a really nice and useful utility with instant sync.
  • Great App. Use it on all my devices.

I’m able to share links and text all over. Missing Vision Pro support. Can’t be that hard. It’s already an iPad app. Why not let it run on the Vision Pro?

I use this app on my MacBookPro and frankly I couldn't be productive without it. It's simple and clean but at the same time it's one of the most useful apps I have ever used. I use it to save snippets of information that I need to paste infrequently and to jot notes - it's just so accessible and easy to use it ends up making an immeasurable difference. It's a great app and well worth the nominal charge. I'm also happy to support the developers who have saved me so much time and aggravation as I go about my work every day. Thank you for making such a useful and wonderful app.
  • widget fatal cpu crash daily since ios 17.2

hi, don't know if you know or if you care, but just in case- the tot widget is causing one or multiple fatal cpu resource crashes per day on iphone. i had to take the widget off. it happens no matter what page it's on, be it home screen, lock screen, or the left side swipe screen. happens with each widget also. i have an 11 pro. a bit "old" i know, but still. all my other widgets/apps work fine so i doubt that's an issue. the crash doesn't occur on my ipad (11 inch ipad pro). still love this app but would like to use the widget again. thanks

Horizontal note taking would be nice. Other than that, great little app.

This app is the best fluid cheatsheet . Fantastic for keeping any lists, text or links I wanna remember or save to my phone or MacBook. Using tot with Apple widgets, I can discreetly go directly to any of the seven pages with corresponding color dots. Seven dots seven days. This is what a five star app should be. Pay a fair price… once.
