By far my favorite photo editing app. It’s a little slow and uses a LOT of battery but by far the best photo editing app I’ve found on iPhone. Thank you

Congratulations on being the part of the Apple team going forward…., I just used a new issue with the app alarming for me because I’ve been using it for round 3 to 4 years whenever I’m transferring my pictures in a messaging app such as a WhatsApp I lose the resolution on my edits. I am losing the changes I made on edit since that makes the photo. I am passing on unusable please fix six ASAP.
  • Ditch Lightroom! Spend 10 minutes with this you won’t regret it!

As lifelong user of adobe lightroom, I thought there was no alternative that could handle the task of selective editing and masking photos in a intuitive and accurate way until I heard apple was taking over this app, and let me tell you. Ditch your subscription and get this. It’s 100% worth it. Will make a video on my YouTube at Ryan Osmond.

I bought this for the Mac, iPad, and iPhone so that way my editing would be the same on either device. Then you all sold it right after I bought the program for the lifetime usage. Now that Apple will most likely own the rights to the program I am worried that I am going to lose such a great program. I bought it to replace the need for Lightroom because your features are just as good for the masking as Lightroom is. I love the selective editing that I can do on here and the thought of losing the program is not cool. I do love the ability to seamlessly work an image to a finished product with ease. The tools that you all have across the board is what makes the program worth it on the iPad.

I loved this app for a long time but it has been plagued with crashes for me in the last few months. It seems to only get worse with each update and crashes when making edits. Hope this gets fixed.
  • Poor abilities to handle files makes this program unusable

Computer: 2019 Intel Mac Pro; OS: Sonoma 14.6.1. Upon loading my entire library of images (~12,000), photometer would take minutes to load the images. It would then slow down and then freeze, taking the entire computer with it, forcing a restart. I deleted the app, reinstalled it and then loaded just a limited set of photos which it loaded immediately, but, once again, it slowed down and then froze the entire computer. The only answer technical support had was “video the screen” and send the video to them. This cannot be done when the computer freezes. Because of the poor technical support and problems with file handling, I would recommend that anyone interested in this program not purchase it now but wait until Apple (which is about to buy this company) releases a function Mac product.
  • Most bang for your buck.

I love this app. It integrates very nicely with the native iPadOS Photos app. Thank you for not being a subscription. I hate renting software. I’d rather buy at a reasonable price. I don’t make money doing photo edits, so I cannot rationalize a subscription plan.
  • Unable to read supported camera RAM format

MacOS Sonoma already supports Canon R7's RAM format, why can't Photomator read the file?
  • Odd Overlap with Pixelmator Pro

Photomator limits edit exports without paying via subscription or lifetime offer. If you have Pixelmator Pro, the offer is 79.99 instead of 119.99. That's great, except that Photomator is primarly for organizing if you already have Pixelmator Pro. You can do all the same editing, including the film emulations. So, it's very odd to make a couple adjustments in Photomator and click to open in Pixelmator Pro, only to be asked to pay. I think Pixelmator Pro owners should not have this limitation and upgrade price of $80... Especially because Pixelmator devs are now moving over to Apple. Photomator is missing some significant features of a full fledged editor. Notably, there's no lens profile correction, skew/keystone correction. But it's fantastic to quickly and easily be able to view and export HDR photos with a click.
